Sarah + Carter Fort Worth Engagement Photography

I'm so excited to share this beautiful engagement session!! Sarah and Carter plan to tie the knot this February in Oklahoma City and I'm flattered to play a part! These two met while at TCU and share not only a great love for each other, but for their alma mater as well!! It only made sense to make our way to TCU's new stadium for a few shots. Both Sarah and Carter have deep roots in cow town, and Sarah owns one of the cutest paperie & gift stores in Fort Worth, Inscriptions on the Boulevard. I highly recommend any of you brides reading to check out her amazing line up of vendors. She has a great selection of letterpress which I'm currently loving. In fact Sarah asked me to photograph a few of her recent graphic designs and I plan on sharing them with you guys soon!! In the meantime enjoy these two, they are incredibly fun and I'm so glad to call them my new friends!!!

Ashton + Matt

Ashton & Matt are simply adorable. Yet another KKG sister of mine, I'm more than honored to be part of this beautiful wedding!! We met in Fort Worth to shoot around West 7th area. Right as the sun was getting to that magical point in the evening Ashton realized she had forgotten to pack her jeans for her second outfit!! We did what we ladies do best and had an impromptu shopping trip to University Park. No worries- we were in, out and on with the shoot just in time for the best light of the night!! I adore these two and these lovely images.

Elizabeth + Ryan

Another one of my precious fellow KKG sisters is tying the knot!! I absolutely love this darling couple and it was such a fun evening photographing them out at White Rock Lake in Dallas. They brought their sweet chocolate lab all the way from Longview to be part of our shoot!! I love catching up with old friends during the peaks of their life, and I'm absolutely blessed to call this a job. Elizabeth and Ryan are getting married this coming March in Longview and I can't wait!!

Megan + Clayton

You guys all remember my best friend Megan from when I posted her bridals back in September. Somehow between the time we shot Megan & Clatyon's engagement session and me having a baby/moving, these images slipped past the blog! The post is now ready for show & tell and deserves a feature of its own!! Megan and Clayton are seriously perfect for each other. They fell in love during their college years at TCU and have been together ever since. They are some of our best friends here in Fort Worth and even though life keeps us all crazy busy, we manage to find time to see each other as much as possible. Congrats to my favorite newlyweds.... I'm still having withdrawals from your lovely wedding weekend in Charleston. Love you guys!

Amanda + Reid Engagements

Amanda and I have known each other since before junior high. You can imagine knowing someone that long that we've gone through many awkward adolescent stages together!! I recently came across some pretty comical junior high hand written notes that we sent back and forth to each other no doubt during important classroom time. We even played on the same basketball team which was coached by her dad!! The Booher family is seriously one of my favorites and I just love Amanda to pieces. I'm so excited to be involved with her wedding this spring and am thrilled to share these adorable engagement images from my trip to Lubbock a few weeks back. Amanda and Reid are such a sweet pair and I can't wait to watch their story unfold!!

Neely + Cody

I simply adore this couple!! Neely and Cody are just as sweet as they look, and I'm so excited to be photographing their Hill Country wedding at the end of October. Their engagement session was such a breath of fresh air and I cannot wait to see what this beautiful couple has in store for their big day. Until then, enjoy this very romantic engagement session.

WES + CELINA

Celina and Wes are one of those couples that you just fall in love with instantly!! I love that Celina is so tiny and petite and Wes is just the opposite; they really compliment each other in every way possible! I'm headed to San Antonio tomorrow to photograph this girl in her pretty white dress and I cannot wait to see what she has in store. Their engagement pictures are from this past fall and I decided I couldn't photograph her bridals without introducing you all to this precious couple! These two are planning to get married this November in San Antonio and I'm really looking forward to their big day!! Until then, enjoy their engagements.

Life's a flash, capture accordingly.

Britney + Brandon

Britney & Brandon are an adorable Lubbock couple who I got to spend time with this past fall. Ironically enough, Britney and I worked together for a very short time at a cute boutique while in high school maaaany moons ago. Luckily we've been able to stay in touch here in there through the years and I was thrilled when she called me for her engagement session. Next on the agenda, her bridals, which are coming soon, but once again....you'll have to wait!! Enjoy.

Emily + Stephen

I'm aware that it's a major give away how behind I am on blogging when it's the dead of winter &  I post pictures with beautiful green ivy & lush golden light. I may be backed up on blogging, but it's somewhat of a blessing because it's reminding me of that beautiful time of year that's just right around the corner! Looking through these images is sparking my inspiration for new ideas this spring and I catch myself day dreaming of sunny evenings with greener pastures. Emily & Stephen are high on love and it's so adorable to watch. Emily and I were fellow Kappa's together at Tech and it was so much fun to reconnect through our photography session. Her bridals are just around the corner and I can't wait to see this girl in her beautiful dress... of course you guys will have to wait until AFTER the wedding day...but for now enjoy these two love birds from their sunny engagement session from back this fall.

Chris + Shannon

Chris, Shannon & I go WAY back. Chris and I are practically brother and sister...and I mean that literally. We love each other but somehow manage to bicker like cats & dogs. When I transferred back to TTU from UT my Jr. year, I was instantly part of the "boys" club. It was Ryan (my now husband), Chris, Brady & me. We had the BEST time and I seriously considered writing a sit-com during those days. The things I saw and heard were pretty unimaginable, and I was thankful I was raised with a brother for preparation. You guys can only imagine how THRILLED I was when Chris started dating Shannon and I had a fellow lady in the group!! Shannon and I talked fashion in place of football which was a refreshing topic change from the normal meathead discussions I had become so accustomed to having! She was someone I could roll my eyes and laugh with and who definitely understood that it wasn't normal to drink an entire keg of  beer between 7 people in one day. Shannon is one of my favorite people in the world and I'm SO excited to watch her and Chris start their lives together. They are getting married this coming March, and it will be one heck of a celebration!! I can't wait! Love you guys!!

Lindsey + Colton = Engagement

Lindsey and Colton are  a fabulous match. I actually went to high school with Lindsey (many moons ago) and although we were never in the same class, we still managed to keep in touch all these years! I was so flattered when she asked me to be part of her wedding & all that it entails. I've had fun getting to spend more time with her during our Olive Garden dates and various shoots. The day of our engagement session when I met her fiance Colton, I mentioned to him that I might call him Clayton on accident. My best friend dates a "Clayton" and it just seemed to fit. After being completely immersed in my camera & working through the technical aspects of the shoot, I looked up and sure enough said "Clayton, can you move to the left". After that it was a self fulfilling prophecy and my mind block was set in stone. I referred to him as Clayton 3 more times, and after my inadequate name calling he finally played back calling me Hannah. I was ok with it and admired the quick whit. So "Clayton", I promise to get it right on your wedding day, thanks for putting up with me and my shenanigans. You guys are great and I had a blast during our shoot!!

Cori + Josh

I had an blast with Cori & Josh during their engagement session a couple weeks back. Josh has a house near Lake Allen Henry so we decided to meet in Post, Texas. We captured some cute small-town shots then ventured out to the lake. Once we were in the blazing heat and all dressed up, we found ourselves wishing we had our bathing suits, a boat, and a cooler of beer. I was so pumped when Cori mentioned the lake, because even just seeing water was a treat in this awful drought! These two are set to get married in Amarillo this December for a beautiful winter wedding. It's so funny, because Cori was good friends with some of my good friends growing up, and finally we put 2 & 2 together at the end of our shoot and discovered the connection! Everyone in Texas is somehow connected I swear, and I'm happy to now be connected to this adorable couple! Meet Cori & Josh. Life's a flash, capture accordingly.

Caroline + Jerad: The Engagement

Caroline, Jerad, and I met in Mt. Vernon, Texas a few weeks back to take their adorable engagement pictures. These two are getting married next October and were kind enough to include me in their big day! Jerad's family had a fabulous house on the lake so we had lots of fun and fresh places to shoot! Caroline went to UT while Jerad went to A&M, so of course when we passed by a field of longhorns we all had the same crazy thought.... We drove back by the beastly creatures, contemplating our fate and if the shot would be worth it. Sure enough right before the sun dropped, we all jumped the fence and went for the longhorns... first 50 feet away: they were undetectable.....20 feet away, they were looking more like subjects.... 10 feet away, jackpot! After we got the shot, we got spooked and ran all the way back to the fence, injury free. It was so much fun and I always enjoy a good adrenaline rush! Thanks to Caroline & Jerad for a fun trip, I'm looking forward to Dallas in October!

Carey + Kellyn: Engagement Session

Carey & Kellyn are getting married this October and asked me to be a part of their big day! I'm so excited to capture some of the main the highlights on their road to the altar, and of course their wedding. Carey's family has a ranch in Ranger, Texas, so we packed up his truck and headed towards greener pastures, so to speak. Poor west Texas hasn't had any rain this season, so Ranger was a nice change of pace. We had a fun road trip and really got to know each other better. Our shoot was going just swimmingly when Kellyn decided that she would attempt to get on a horse bareback for a few shots... Being an old equestrian myself, I thought this would be awesome. As soon as she made it onto the horse's back, it all went haywire and she was suddenly airborne. She landed as gracefully as you could hope after such a spill, but decided that the horseback pictures weren't worth the risk. I didn't get any action shots, although they would have certainly been worth something! Kellyn laughed the whole thing off and was a wonderful sport. We got some pretty great images despite the hectic event. Hope you enjoy. Meet Carey & Kellyn: Life's a flash, capture accordingly.

Alicia + Keith

I had the privilege of photographing Keith & Alicia in Midland last month. I'm  obviously out of order and behind on blogging my most recent sessions (I've got about 15 new & really fun posts I owe you guys! They include seniors, graphic design jobs, kid & family sessions, vacations, kitchen remodels, two baby nurseries I've designed, & two fun baby showers I've been a part of, so stay tuned). Now you know why I've been MIA, but trust me, I plan on getting this little blog caught up to speed very soon!! Keith & Alicia are in my husband Ryan's medical school class at Texas Tech University. We got to spend more time with them when they were here in Lubbock their first two years, however now they live in Midland for years three & four. Keith was part of the Intramural Softball Champion Team, (yes, medical students can be athletic & TTU's 2nd year guys dominated all of campus last year). Both Keith & Alicia are sorely missed by all of us still in the LBK,  but I did love getting to travel to Midland as it's always a good excuse to go stay with my sweet mother-in-law! Keith & Alicia are "parents" to one of the sweetest dogs ever, Jake, who makes a few star cameo appearances in these shots. They are a fun loving couple and will no doubt have very athletic genius babies one day :)

In the meantime, I'm so flattered to be a part of their engagement. A big thanks to Keith & Alicia for thinking of me to take their engagement session! Enjoy the images.

Charla + Jon

Gif Created on Make A Gif

There's nothing better than loving new clients within the first 20 minutes of meeting them.  Jon, Charla & I met over a beer (and no, that's not what won me over) in Dallas a few weeks back before we headed out to take their adorable engagement photos. Within the first hour of knowing this couple, I decided that they had fallen straight out of a romantic comedy. They're funny, witty, charming, and very easy on the eyes! They're very in love and truly compliment each other perfectly. They had me laughing so much that I suffered from some camera shake on one or two outtakes (and no, that's wasn't from the beer either). They both live and work in Dallas and will be getting married this March in Fredericksburg. Turns out we have a lot of friends in common and from the looks of it, will probably become friends as well! I'm SO excited to be a part of their wedding day, and absolutely LOVE their style. The place they are having the wedding and reception is called the Hoffman Haus, and is hill-country-rustic meets Anthropologie. I know, it sounds perfect right? I cannot wait to photograph is and report back after their big day, so stay tuned all you fashionista people....and enjoy this fabulous couple's engagement session!

Traci + Clay

What better way to start out 2011 than with one seriously fabulous couple. Traci & Clay are set to be married next June and asked me to take some formal (yet fun) engagements pictures of the two of them. We had a quick mini- session with one outfit and two locations, but got a lot of really great images in our short time together... seriously, how could anyone not with this cute of a pair? Traci and I have always been acquaintances, but have never spent much time together... I've absolutely LOVED getting to know this girl better over the past couple of weeks and have to say that this is a prime example of why I love my job, getting to know people and making new relationships!! Traci sells Stella & Dot jewelry, which if you haven't checked it out, you should- it's fabulous! I have these earings (thanks to my awesome mother-in-law).

and desperately want this necklace- please someone tell my husband.

Any-who, if you like this jewelry hit up Traci Felton to buy it! You can find her on facebook. Now, onto the images! ahhhh, love...

Jaclyn + Cody

Jaclyn and I met when I moved to Frenship back in the 5th grade. I've discussed my awkward turtle years before, but let me paint you a picture.... I was about the same height I am now minus 75 pounds.... skinny, lanky, uncoordinated, you get it.... Jaclyn was a natural born athlete. In Junior High I somehow managed to make the "A" team in basketball. When I knocked someone down I would apologize and help them up.... That defensive/aggression thing never was my style. Jaclyn was amazing though. She totally ruled the court and went on to be quite the basketball star all through school. I on the other hand made the switch after 8th grade to cheerleading- a safe bet for us side-liners.... Jaclyn and I both shipped of to the University of Texas in 2004 to embark on our new "independent lives" as college students. We lived in different dorms and saw each other at the occasional fraternity party. We still keep in touch, but not enough! I was SO excited to get to catch up with her (and get to know her main man, Cody) in Austin. Jaclyn got in touch with me a few months back about potentially shooting her wedding in Jamaica. JAMAICA?!?! Yes, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since! Her and Cody are having a stunning Martha Stewart style destination wedding next June and have invited me to be a part of it all! Of course all good weddings start with a fabulous engagement. The two make such a great couple. They are real and genuine and there is nothing I love more! Stay tuned for bridals and their spectacular beach wedding to come!

Megan + Sean

I was totally ecstatic when a good family friend called me to take her engagement photos recently! Megan Hale is best friends with my sister in law Taylor. Since I've known my in-laws, I've known Miss Megan. She has been an intrinsic part of the Rowland family long before I ever was. I've had the pleasure of traveling with Megan, (to Vegas of all places!) and have hysterical memories with that girl. It has been a fun connection knowing the Hale's because the sisters (Megan & Taylor), brothers (Tyler & Ryan), and moms (Valerie & Susan) are all great friends! Now I've jumped in the mix and have the pleasure of hanging out with them all on different occasions! Their entire family is one that you feel like you've known for years. Megan's mom Valerie was kind enough to book me for a job through her marketing agency a couple months back. They are always thinking of how they can help others and are just really great people. Is everyone up to speed on the connections? Megan and Sean met while at Texas Tech. They are a fun loving couple and are both currently in the Midland/Odessa area. Sean is an engineer in Odessa and Megan is working and wedding planning in Midland. The day of our shoot, Sean was a feeling a bit under the weather but was the most incredible sport! He was all smiles and if he did feel bad, didn't let us know. We had a blast going around Midland and finding fun places as backdrops for our shoot. My sweet and seriously fabulous mother in law Susan went with us and was the best assistant ever. She navigated the car, held equipment, fixed fly aways, made us laugh, and was the perfect assistant for the day. I wish I would have recorded Megan, Valerie, Susan and I all getting ready for the shoot. The moms were on outfit duty while Megan did her make-up and I did her hair (no pressure!). Both Valerie and Susan were amazing and just watching them gave me flash backs to coordinating outfits for Rush. They had clothing paired with the specific accessories to a tee. Valerie even had h'orderves before we left and homemade bread and seafood soup when we got back! I may have to hire the duo for future jobs!!

Stacy + Brandon

I have been antsy to share these pictures from Stacy & Brandon's engagement session but have waited because I wanted them to be the first images shown on my new blog! Stacy called me recently to inquire about a wedding photographer and we ended up clicking (yes. pun intended!) like we had been friends all along. I'm super excited to photograph their wedding this coming summer and am having a blast getting to know them in the meantime. Stacy and Brandon are seriously one hot couple. Yes, I know it is so cliche to say "Oh, their so in love, blah blah blah.... but seriously, the way these two look at each other is enough to make a girl crave a good Reese Witherspoon romantic comedy! Stacy is a hoot and I can only imagine the fun we are going to have getting ready for the wedding. I'm so pumped to be a part of this amazing time in their lives, and am even more grateful to have two new friends. Enjoy! life's a flash, capture accordingly
