Jenea + Caleb

This wedding holds a special place in my heart, as I've known Jenea for years. I was beyond thrilled when she asked me to photograph her wedding, as I knew how magnificent it would be. Jenea and her wedding team did not disappoint. Between this fabulous bride, her sweet mom, and the amazing wedding coordinator, Shannon Schultz, this event really set the bar. The entire day was such a blast & since I knew most of her bridesmaids it was a treat to hang out with old friends!! Who doesn't love a classic church wedding followed by a lovely reception full of fabulous food & fun?! The reception took place at the Worthington Renaissance Hotel in downtown Ft. Worth, and was adorned with the most elegant & tasteful decor.  A special thanks to Amy-Rose King Photography for second shooting, and always teaching me new tricks along the way. Jenea and Caleb you are a magnificent couple and I can't wait to see what the future holds for you. Happy Honeymoon!!

Britney + Brandon

Britney & Brandon are an adorable Lubbock couple who I got to spend time with this past fall. Ironically enough, Britney and I worked together for a very short time at a cute boutique while in high school maaaany moons ago. Luckily we've been able to stay in touch here in there through the years and I was thrilled when she called me for her engagement session. Next on the agenda, her bridals, which are coming soon, but once again....you'll have to wait!! Enjoy.

Emily + Stephen

I'm aware that it's a major give away how behind I am on blogging when it's the dead of winter &  I post pictures with beautiful green ivy & lush golden light. I may be backed up on blogging, but it's somewhat of a blessing because it's reminding me of that beautiful time of year that's just right around the corner! Looking through these images is sparking my inspiration for new ideas this spring and I catch myself day dreaming of sunny evenings with greener pastures. Emily & Stephen are high on love and it's so adorable to watch. Emily and I were fellow Kappa's together at Tech and it was so much fun to reconnect through our photography session. Her bridals are just around the corner and I can't wait to see this girl in her beautiful dress... of course you guys will have to wait until AFTER the wedding day...but for now enjoy these two love birds from their sunny engagement session from back this fall.

Taylor

Some of you may remember by absolutely GORGEOUS sister-in-law, Taylor, from her portfolio building portrait session we did in Vegas back in the fall of 2010. Well she is still just as stunning and wanted to continue to diversify her portfolio this year. Luckily Ryan and I were in Ft. Worth for a few weeks in November and Taylor and I were able to schedule a fun "fashion inspired" shoot on the streets of cow town. Hope you enjoy!! life's a flash, capture accordingly.

Megan + Michael, the wedding.

As promised, here is Megan & Michael's beautiful wedding recap. The two loyal Aggie alumni got married on January 14th in College Station, where they met and fell in love. They've gone full circle  and have now tied the knot in the town that served as the perfect backdrop for their relationship- I can't think of a sweeter start for a precious marriage. If you didn't see yesterday's post, check it out to get the back story on these two. I'm going to let the pictures do the talking on this one. Oh, and a huge thanks to my friend & second shooter Brittany Jones. We had a great road trip across Texas (minus getting pulled over and somewhat lost) and I'm so grateful she was available to help with this beautiful day. Enjoy!

The New Mr. & Mrs. Michael Vann

Meet my beautiful cousin (well second cousin) Megan. She and I obviously go way back (to birth basically) as our mom our cousins! Megan and I are just one year apart and as a result always gravitated towards one another at big family get togethers. She's blossomed into such a beautiful person in every aspect of the word, and I'm so flattered that she chose me to photograph this time in her life. Since she's been engaged I've gotten to see her three times in one year which is such a treat! I just love her new husband Michael, and am so pleased with who she picked to share her life with. Since I'm so behind on blogging, I'm giving you a two-in-one special.... a double whammy of sorts, so you can really get a feel for how adorable these two are. Stay tuned tomorrow, as I'll be posting highlights from their adorable College Station wedding.  Now for the new Mrs. Michael Vann's fabulous bridal session:

Sweet Davis at Six Months

One of the obvious perks of my job is meeting awesome people and getting to work with them on a reoccurring basis. Elisabeth Burrows is an entrepreneur/creative guru herself and I have loved every minute I've spent with her. She is one of those inspiring people that really makes you wonder how she does it all. Her sweet little man, Davis is rapidly growing before our eyes, and I'm so flattered that she has chosen me to document all the precious stages he's gone through so far. You may remember them from their ADORABLE newborn shoot. Elisabeth is the one who designed the INCREDIBLE jungle-themed nursery that I still believe needs to be published in a design magazine!! This Christmas-inspired session is from back in December when Davis was 6 months- I'm sure he has already changed since, but for now, enjoy this sweet little man and his fabulous parents. Hasse Family

I met my friend Shanda this past fall when I photographed her daughter Adele's magnificent birthday party. It's still one of my favorite events to this day, as it showcased Shanda's amazing knack for party planning and all things graphic design. This girl has amazing things up her sleeve and a heck of a future as one of Lubbock's finest entrepreneurs. Her business White Sparrow Design has great things in store. These images are from their family session before Christmas (does this surprise you?! Yes I'm backed up on blogging in a major way, but have about 30 wonderful posts coming soon). I hope you enjoy this precious family as much as I do!! life's a flash, capture accordingly.

Jamie Bridals

What better way to start 2012 than with a beautiful blushing bride! Jamie and I became acquaintances through my good friend & past co-worker Abby. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and I thoroughly enjoyed our day together. She got married this past November in Austin, Texas and is now living there with her new husband. HAD&P wishes them a lifetime full of happiness together. Yay for fabulous brides, meet Jamie:

HAD&P featured on Midland Living cover

I'm so thrilled to share the news that HAD&P has been featured on the cover of Midland Living magazine!! Beautiful bride Megan Hale Trotter was a pristine pick for the winter 2011 edition & exudes bridal bliss throughout the issue. You may remember her bridal session from last spring, it's one of my favorites. A big thanks to everyone involved in the feature- it turned out wonderful and we are so excited to be a part of it all!!

Adele's First Birthday

Shanda Hasse is my one of my new favorite people. She's a fun, vivacious, & extremely creative woman and I feel so blessed to have crossed paths with her. She's a fellow entrepreneur and owns a fabulous graphic design and event planning business called White Sparrow Design. She has already taught me so much and has inspired me greatly.  She hired me to photograph her daughter Adele's first birthday party this fall and I'm so glad that I was available to capture the memories of the day. Shanda did all the leg work and effortlessly tied each dazzling detail into this perfect event. She truly has a gift for creativity and one beautiful family!! Enjoy-

Natasha + Russell

Meet Natasha & Russell, a fabulous Lubbock couple. I had a great time shooting their wedding. Russell served time in Iraq and the two tied the knot shortly after Veterans' Day which made the union even more special. Many of his marine friends traveled from corners of the country to participate in the excitement, just validating the brother-like bond that so many of our troops share. It was a special event, and I was very proud to be a part of it all. Thanks you two and I wish you a lifetime of happiness! Life's a flash, capture accordingly.

Davis Newborn

Hands down this is one of my favorite newborn sessions yet. I'm embarrassed to say, these images are from back in July...but that's just a little hint on how behind I am on the blog front. Elisabeth Burrows is one of my new designer crushes. She used to own the cutest retail store in Lubbock a few years back and has the most incredible taste. I showed up at her house to take her sweet baby's newborn pictures and instantly could see her love for interior design. Her nursery could (and should) be published. She's got a great knack for details and I couldn't keep my lens off all the adorable pieces that make her jungle-style nursery a "whole" lotta-fun. Her baby Davis was such a good newborn and was patient with my photographer a.d.d. for the day. A big thanks to College Flowers for the beautiful floral arrangements for our shoot. Caroline + Jerad, the wedding

This wedding was a photographer's dream come true. Simply put it was chic, elegant, and classic from start to finish. Caroline and her adorable mom did a fantastic job planning this wedding and every detail literally had me "ewwwing and ahhing". The bride actually bedazzled her shoes with rhinestones, one by one, now that's attention to detail. Amy-Rose and I were slightly obsessed. Caroline and Jerad are one of those couples who even when the camera isn't on them, are completely immersed in one another. I had to literally drag them off the dance floor to get a few fun images at the reception (for which they were total sports!!). Truly October 22nd was one of those days where the stars aligned; a bride I adore, a totally classic setting, and my absolute favorite second shooter, Amy-Rose King. I may refer to her as my second shooter for some weddings, but let's not kid ourselves.... Amy-Rose is seriously the most amazing friend and mentor I could ever ask for. In fact most of the awesome shots involving flash below are compliments of Amy-Rose. She is teaching me new tricks and I love her for that!! The weekend was a blast and our road trip to Dallas was full of fun. We even had a chance run-in with fellow photographer Linda Schilberg in Sweetwater! It's a small world, and I'm thankful for that. If it wasn't for this small world Caroline & I would have never met and I would have never gotten to photograph this amazing event. A big thanks to everyone involved. I hope you all enjoy, I know I did!!

Amy-Rose & I looking slightly worn out by this point. There was a pretty commical montage leading up to this picture, but for the sake of appearing professional I limited it to just one.

Hill Maternity, Newborn, Announcement & Nursery Decor

I've been so excited to blog this session, but in classic HAD&P style have found myself behind on the social media aspect of business!! Lauren & Chad Hill welcomed their precious son, Hudson Hill, into the world in August. Lauren trusted me with their maternity pictures, newborn pictures, baby announcements, and some fun wall art in their nursery. I love when I get to work with someone on so many aspects of a project, because it really makes for a more consistent end result. This sweet family is so precious and I enjoyed working with them on every step of the way!! Welcome to the world sweet baby Hudson.

Hudson's Custom Wall Art:

I drafted the custom damask shape from Hudson's bedding into CAD and had it extracted with a laser cutter. We painted and glued it together and displayed Hudson's cute name underneath it for a totally custom look!

Kellyn + Carey, the wedding.

As promised here is Carey & Kellyn's adorable wedding post. Their wedding took place at the Lubbock Windmill Museum and was infused with lots of quaint West Texas flair. Their wedding was a great time and since Carey and I are from the same high school, I got to catch up with a number of old acquaintances I hadn't seen in a while! I really got to know Carey and Kellyn through their engagement session & Kellyn's bridal session and wish them a life full of happiness. Congratulations you two!!

Kellyn Bridals

Kellyn is one of my most beautiful brides. She is a West Texas girl at heart and now has completed her fairytale and married her cowboy prince at the beginning of this month. Their wedding was a beautiful and quaint Texas affair and I'm working diligently on the sneak peek- however to hold you over until the wedding post is complete, feast your eyes on the stunning Kellyn Taylor.

Lindsey + Colton. The Wedding.

Lindsey and Colton Glasscock tied the knot a few weeks ago, and I'm sure glad they invited me to be a part of their big event! My amazing second shooter for the day, Therese Barrett, and I had a blast capturing the details and emotions that the day had to offer. Therese was fabulous and has such an eye for capturing little ones (which is her forte, check out her website). My job never gets old, as each new event offers fresh and exciting moments to photograph. The bride's sister Lauren is a creative type as well, and set up an awesome time lapse of the wedding & reception. I totally want to learn how to do this, it's great! With no further adieu, let's get to the images & let them do the talking! Enjoy.
